Week 31

Experienced tummy ache last Sunday after breakfast. For that whole day, I felt pain in the middle near the rib cage as well as at the left side and near the pelvic area. In the midst of pain, Rachael was moving non stop till the next day. So I thought she might be feeling uncomfortable too.

So yesterday, hubby took urgent leave to accompany me to the gynae. Gynae said the pain might be intestine problem. Rachael is fine. Movement is good. She said the more she moves means there is oxygen for her. Only be concern if she stops moving.

My weight dropped to 57.8kg from the previous 58.2kg, while Rachael put on weight! She's 2.1kg now. While I lost 400g, she puts on 600g! Unbelievable!

Anyway, I did a couple of tests yesterday. Nurse pricked my finger and found out that my iron level dropped badly. So I have to be on iron pills now.

Did CTG to track baby's heartbeat, movement and contractions. Noticed that Rachael hiccuped a lot! And I have mild but regular contractions. So gynae wants me to take med if it gets worse to make sure I don't deliver before time.

Did urine test to check for infection because infection can cause preterm labour. Thank God! No infection.

So well, I took hospitalisation leave to rest from this week onwards. Feel bad to leave the pupils and lots of work to my colleagues. But I guess, my body and baby is more important.

Really appreciate the rest but first, I need to clear all the outstanding work so that I can leave school in peace...

Thank God for rest!
